Work of Love

Love For The Poor

Heavenly Father,

You have blessed us with the life of St. Teresa of Calcutta.

Through her, you have shown us the beauty of your love for

the poor - and your love for each of us in our own hidden poverty.  

Help us continue her work of love, by touching you in the poverty

and pain of all we meet.  Help us to reach out to all in need of

your comfort, beginning in our own families.

Tender Father, may St. Teresa of Calcutta intercede of us the

grace to believe, as she did, that you wish to love us most where we

deserve in least where we are most weak & needy & poor.  And may her

prayers obtain the special favor (...) I lay before you as your child.
